Great place for sandwiches. Had a few here. Got the pastrami yesterday and an amazing taste to it. Great flavor on all sandwiches Customer service really great
Ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It was delicious, the chicken was tender and moist, great flavor and bacon was crispy. The bread was a bit hard on the ends, but is overall good.
It's rare I go to a liquor store and it's the first time going to one before noon. However I found this place on Yelp and apparently delis in liquor stores is a thing here. I planned to grab a breakfast sandwich but came just before noon so ended up getting a lunch one. $11.49 for the California on toasted sourdough. * It was noted as a favorite and came recommended by the man behind the counter. He was friendly asked if it was our first time. $4+ for a smedium sized bag of kettle potato chips $7 for small bottle peach soju (had to get for later after I spied it) $.10 for plastic bag (forgot to grab mine). Overall, reasonably priced for Coronado. I perused the adult beverages and prices looked reasonable too. The sandwich was solid - it had a good mix of ingredients (deli sliced turkey, bacon bits, avocado, sprouts). Totally reminded me of a Beach bum sandwich at Jimmy John's before they got rid of the sprouts. Cons: No receipt given (I'm a weirdo and like to have one). No prices displayed on the chips and some other snacks, but I did see a QR code under each kind so maybe I was supposed to scan and look it up. Suggestion: Provide a napkin with purchase of a sandwich
This Gem in Coronado has the best selection of hot and cold sandwiches. Everything on the menus is amazing being served by a wonderful crew. Lunch rush is awesome be prepared to order and stand to the side. They can handle large crowds and orders with ease. While you wait walk on over and check out their Liquor and Wine selection. Don't forget they have their own Jack Daniels bottles just for them as well. If you want to grab and go or even sit outside in the sun or inside with the shade they have you covered. 10 out of 10 and this is my Sandwich spot for lunch every time.
This is hands down my favorite place to go to for lunch!! Their sandwiches are always delicious!! They have thee best Italian in town and the giant hot pastrami is a great second best!! the staff is always friendly in greeting me everytimethey see me, in taking my order and making the sandwich exactly the way I want. Their selections are plenty, between chips, sodas, beers, wines and whiskey - you'll never go home thirsty! Or hungry for that matter. They have a seating area inside and out so you can take a few minutes out of your day to enjoy your lunch.
Love this place!! They have lots of Sandwich selections, Just tried the Chicken Chipotle Sandwich on Torta bread...SUPER DELICIOUS!! Ask for Eddie his the owner he'll hook ur sandwich up with the goods
Great deli, awesome customer service and a crazy selection of spirits with reasonable pricing. If your looking for a bottle that is not easy to find this is your place!
When and if I get to heaven, my 1st question is going to be 'When's lunch?'. The 2nd question will prolly be, 'Are there sandwiches here like Central Liquor?' Why is it that liquor stores still make the best to-go deli sandwiches? Let's leave DZ Akins out of the fight. They are in a different league. I will traverse the Coronado Bridge in a hailstorm of Nazi bullets for a ham, salami, and American on a kaiser roll. People, this is a sandwich worthy of a salute. All cradled in the tangiest mayo n fixins. They have those dark poppy seeds you see in all the commercials but can't seem to find in waking life, providing your fingers with a lizard-like grip on the meaty-beast you're about to devour. Underestimating the power of quality bread in this situation is criminal. I appreciate the small things in these uncertain times. Like a good, working-class sandwich. Suffice it to say, they're open, and Coronado is a ghost town right now. And you can have it all to yourself. Is a few extra miles gonna kill ya? The boardwalk, the sky, a view of downtown, and a sandwich the Gods would envy.
This place has been open forever. I remember coming here when I was in the military. I would often buy bottled coffee here, or some booze for a house party I was going to. It's great to see this place is doing well after so many years. I stopped by here recently to buy some bottled coffee and a water bottle. I was in town for the 4th of July fireworks, and I was on my way to the park at the end of the street. Fortunately, the place was not too crowded when I walked in. The staff here is super friendly, and they got the line moving fast. I was out the door in no time. The store looks more or less the same as it did over a decade ago. They have quite a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, as well as your standard liquor store fare. The store is located in a safe and family friendly neighborhood. Let's keep it that way. I would recommend this store if you found yourself on Coronado Island.
